Our Master Distiller
Our journey wouldn’t be complete without a master distiller who shares our vision and passion for crafting exceptional tequila. That’s why we chose to partner with Oscar Vazquez. As a master chemist of 12 years, directly involved with some of the best tequilas of the modern age, his dream of becoming a master distiller and his dedication to the art and science of crafting artisanal tequila uniquely aligned with our vision for the brand.
With a shared goal of creating a complex profile enjoyable for both casual sippers and tequila aficionados, we are united by our commitment to authenticity, innovation, and excellence. Oscar brings a wealth of expertise and a relentless passion for perfection, ensuring every bottle of Manuscrito tells a story worth sharing.
El Sabino Distillery
We believe that every great tequila tells a story—rooted in the soil, the terroir, and the passion behind it. That’s why we chose to partner with El Sabino Distillery in the heart of Los Altos. Situated on a stunning property in Jesus Maria at almost 7,000 ft. above sea level with deep well water and growing all-natural single estate blue Weber agave, El Sabino is equipped with everything needed to make exceptional tequila. This combination of natural beauty and exceptional tools is vital to crafting tequila that embodies the authenticity, quality, and the complexity we demand at Manuscrito Tequila.
El Sabino Distillery is owned by Roberto Lopez Anaya, a fourth-generation agave grower in Jalisco with tequila making in his blood. Roberto brings experience, technical know-how, and an unbridled passion for producing the highest quality tequila possible. Honoring the rich traditions of the past and embracing the innovation of tomorrow, Roberto is defining the standard for tequila for many generations to come.
